Everything about Arquitectonica totally explained
Arquitectonica is a postmodern architecture, interior design and planning firm headquartered in Miami, Florida, USA. Arquitectonica began in 1977 as an experimental studio founded by Bernardo Fort-Brescia, Laurinda Hope Spear, Andres Duany, Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk, and Hervin Romney.
Led by Peruvian architect Bernardo Fort-Brescia and his wife Laurinda Spear, the studio has grown over the years, having designed such famous buildings as the Atlantis Condominium, the Pink House, and the American Airlines Arena in Miami and the Westin Times Square in New York, amongst many others. Their global headquarters are at 801 Brickell Avenue in the Brickell Financial District of Miami, with regional offices in New York City, Los Angeles, Madrid, Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Manila, Dubai, Sao Paulo and Lima.
The hallmarks of their style are sophisticated surface patterning and facade articulation. Arquitectonica's structures are bold in color and graphic in form and the firm has become famous for its signature style, a dramatic, expressive 'high tech' modernism. The firm's Atlantis Condominium was featured prominently in the opening credits of "Miami Vice."
